Absolutely not. Your vet is essential. I work alongside your veterinary team, never in place of them. If your animal is in medical distress, your vet is the first call. My work covers what’s underneath the physical: their inner experience, and what’s beyond what watching alone can tell you. The two together is the full picture.
Yes, and your vet stays in the picture. Normal results tell you what the testing looked for. They do not tell you what the experience has been like from your animal’s side. So rather than guessing at what the tests could not see, we ask them directly: what they are feeling, what changed, what is going on for them. Sometimes what comes back is emotional. Sometimes it is about their environment or their routine. Sometimes it is something worth taking back to your vet. We follow what they bring instead of deciding in advance.
Because most approaches decide in advance what the answer should look like, then apply a technique to fit. The Boujie & Beyond Method™ starts differently: we ask your animal first, and follow what they actually bring to the conversation, whether that’s practical, emotional, or something else entirely. If previous work did not create change, it likely started from an assumption instead of your animal’s own perspective. That is the difference.

Sometimes it is, and sometimes personality is exactly what it is. Some animals really are just quirky, and that is worth knowing too. But behavior is also one of the main ways an animal communicates, whether that is the dog who will not stop barking, the cat who hides, or the animal who becomes reactive with no apparent trigger. Instead of deciding which one it is from the outside, we ask. If something is behind it, they will tell us. If it is simply who they are, that is an answer too.
Animal communication is the center of this work, and yes, what many people call a “pet psychic” is a version of that.
